Key Topics

The value of the ERN is that there is a platform, albeit informal, to discuss topics of common interest and thus contribute to a better and more integrated regulatory environment in Ireland.

Digital Regulation

Digital Services are not limited to one specific sector, and new and upcoming legislation can often only be properly implemented if there is cooperation across regulators.

The ERN is working with members to look at how best to achieve a coordinated approach to digital policy and regulation in Ireland.

Cooperation in the Area of Learning & Development

There is a continuous need for regulators to train staff and to keep them up to date with developments in technology, legal and economic thinking and more.

The subject matter for L&D can be quite similar between the various regulators, and therefore the ERN has set up a working group of the L&D managers from the members, to see where we can work together.

Public Dissemination

In order to contribute to the public debate on some specific topics, the ERN organises from time-to-time public events. An example is the current seminar series in cooperation with the IIEA on Digital Services.
